Adidas Originals ft Pharrell Williams: Superstar Supercolor
First let me say… I’m deeply in love with this collaboration!
We all know the iconic 1969 SuperStar design has been one of the major influences in sneaker culture, now Adidas Originals have teamed with Pharrell Williams to bring us the new SuperColor range.
They want to give us the chance to choose, the chance to let a shoe express our personality whilst allowing us to create our own personal style and the chance to be original.
“Supercolor is a celebration of equality through diversity. With 50 colours of the Superstar, everybody will be able to select his or her colour….With every shoe treated exactly the same, all colours are equal.” Pharrell Williams.
See? they’re not just insanely pretty and stylish, they have a concept worth sharing.
Released “globally” on March 27th the demand has been huge and most of them are already sold out. Everybody’s been going crazy about them, all the hallmarks of a successful campaign. Due to be released in May in Colombia it will be interesting to see if my fellow country men and women feel the same way as the rest of the world.
